TYGA PIPES

Thu Nov 18, 2004 7:49 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Curious to which tyga pipe people prefer and why,
looks or performance?

personaly i like the look of the ones that are on each side of the bike
as opposed to the GP style where they are on the same side.

seems to me that one on each side would be equal chamber length /sizes and easier for jetting = more power?
is there any proven statistics on this or am i out to lunch?

Here you go. Staright from TYGA themselves, it seems the GP ones were just a tad better than the SS ones... just a tad.

just orderd a set for my mc18, the ones that come out the same side purely for looks i always think the style is awsome but agree that the more conventional set up would give a better tuning potential but in these days of CAD etc i suppose they can work wonders

Personally I've never like the 'same side' look. Makes the other side look odd...

I like the standard type too... always like being asked why the pipes are different lengths by the uninitiated!

Once upon a time, the GP style pipes were down on power, but TYGA got around the problem with a little NSR-WORLD input one afternoon I seem to remember!! Wink (I wonder if Matt wil remember that too?!) :)
