hel hoses

Thu Jan 29, 2009 6:58 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

well got my lovely new hell hoses ( cheers andy) fit them and spent two hours trying to bleed them . could i get a decent pressure on the lever? could i bugger!! bled and re-bled. no air bubbles, but still the lever comes back to the bar. brakes work as i cant turn the wheel with them on!................. the problem? the front brake lever wasn't an nsr one and no amount of adjustment would stop the lever hitting the twist grip. so i changed the lever and bob's your aunties live-in lover!
works perfect!!!

I've had standard NSR master cylinders that have been an absolute pig to bleed with braided lines, but the radial Nissin I have now bled in seconds!

Glad you are otherwise happy with the lines.

Try a vacuum bleeder Very Happy . I've also seen air get stuck in the master and if you pump it and crack the banjo on the master a couple times you may be able to gat it. Sometimes it just takes some time too. My .02

If you can pump fluid through the system the master cylinder if fine, and you still have air in the system.
The trick is, tie the leaver back to the bar, and leave the top loose on the reservoir. Leave for 24hrs, release the leaver and you should have a good brake.
This method has never failed for me.

Having the correct leaver helps.
