hi there guys i have a big problem with my 21 se going along the road on it and suddenly it started misfiring then cut out re started and then cut out would not start there is no spark at the plugs battery is ok power valves still work when you close them manualy then turn on ignition they go back to start position checked all conections in junction box could the pgm 3 be faulty on the ignition side also with the ignition turned onif you hold the plug against the cylinder to check for spark you get a very weak spark off the earth side of the plug without turning the engine over

How on earth are you getting a spark without turning the engine over?
You won't get spark unless the ignition circuit is on, and the flywheel passes by the pulse generators. So without turning the crank (as in kicking the engine over) you won't get spark. If you are then there is something seriously wrong with your electrical system. _________________ Charles Gallant
I`d try unscrewing the pick-ups first and checking the wiring behind them. The insulation can get chaffed & worn through just where they meet the pick-ups.
Some people have found giving the flywheel triggers & the pick-ups a clean up can help, if they are showing signs of rust.
took the pick ups off tonight they were perfect as was the wiring behind them the battery isnt that good going to get a new one and try that still got a feeling the pgm is goosed so if any body has one also new plugs still same problem charging system is producing good current
