Got the MC16 Started today

Mon Mar 23, 2009 5:00 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Fired her up for the first time today, It idles well, ran her for about 10mins and let her warm up. Bit of an exhaust leak on one cylinder.
Just a question, one pipe smokes more than the other. both have been de-coked and have new mufflers. What could be causing this? I've checked the oil pump and it looks like it's working.
Cheers
Blair

I checked the lines, all clear. Maybe the pump just needs a bit of running to even up.
It's no biggie, I'm just paranoid. I was like this when I got my first nitro RC. Once I got used to it's temperment it's all good. It will be the same for this.

My MC16 does this when i start it up, but once it is warm up to operating temps, both are the same. I also occassionaly notice it be firing on one cylinder when just kicked over from cold.

As mentioned above, it sounds like the carbs just need synchronising. Adjuster is the spring loaded screw on the throttle linkage between the carbs.
