MC18 power jet plumbing?

Sun Mar 29, 2009 3:25 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Righto, this is how my bike is setup now and that's how I got it.

Solenoid number 1; top outlet, runs to a T piece, then onto the X piece (into the r/h outlet which has the jet in), the other outlet on the T piece runs via a little black pot (part number 14 in this picture) to the bottom outlet on soleniod 2

Solenoid number 1; bottom outlet runs to a T piece, that splits off into two and they run onto the carbs, connecting into the two points nearest the slide.

Solenoid number 2; top outlet, runs to the X piece (into the top), the X piece then runs to the two other carb points (quite near the front).

Is that right? It looks like the pictures.

Is there any point in swappig the X piece for the red HRC one?

Does anyone understand how or what that lot does?

Depends if its needed doesnt it? All that plumbing is for the air correctors - essential for the street if you want it nice and smooth.

Hey Fontyyy.

Lizard's right. If it needs the red thingy then swap it over. If it doesn't then don't.

You could of course paint your stock one red and pretend it's HRC.

That little black pot is quite important. Unless you don't want it, in which case you can take it off.....probably.

Oh, and if it looks like the pictures then it's probably right. Unless Andy drew the pictures of course!
