Powerjets are positioned at the very top of the carb, and therefor only come into play at wide open throttle.
With the HRC kit, they are blanked as it removes another variable from the already tricky job of setting up a carb.
Obviously a race bike thing, but has found favour on the street as the jets are very small and clog easily, leading to siezure as the mixture suddenly leans off whilst you're flat out! _________________ MC21SP Plaything

If you have no PJ's and stock #128 MJ's, then you are asking for trouble!
I have rebuilt 2 motors in the last 12 months for people who have suffered blockedPJ's due to dirty fuel! Both motors went pop on full throttle at high rpm.
Get some big mains in there, or the PJ's back in place. Also consider re-plumbing the air corrector hoses back to the stock configuration, or at least set them up as recommended by HRC with the rest of their settings.
Stock NSR250 jet settings can be found in the new Technical section. I guess I better look at doing some diagrams to show the stock plumbing next!

Thats very kind of you Andy!! Actually, that would be a big help.
I must look through the box of parts I got with the bike, maybe the powerjet setup is in there, cant remember off the top of my head!
Can anyone tell me what mains they have fitted after junking the powerjets?
Dont worry Andy, I'll be putting her on a rolling road before I give her a thrashing on the road / track, to make sure everything is ok.
Actually, I dont think putting the PJ's back in place is an option as I dont think the HRC ecu will controll them!!?
It's really hard to give jetting settings as all the bikes seem to be different.
Have you still got the injector pump for oil, or is it pre-mix?
On my 21, I kept the pump, hacked the airbox lid and junked the filter. With TYGA pipes and stuffers, I was running daft numbers up near 200 - though the midrange wasn't spot on. Bloody fast when it came on song, but needed more work on the 6-8000 range.
Now it's back on the road with a filter in, and I haven't played with it since - it's winter! _________________ MC21SP Plaything

Well, its not on the road yet, and wont be for a while. It runs perfect at the moment. Start on the second kick even after its been standing for a couple of weeks, and revs fine.
Looks to have stock jets, has a stock airbox and filter alough I've done the Tyga mod on the lid. Also looks to have stock chambers but with carbon cans. Uses the oil pump still.
I think the best thing to do would be to get it to a rolling road to sort the fueling. I've ridden up and down my road (naughty me!) with no fairing etc... and it pulls well through the mid range in the first 3 gears, didn't have space to open her up!
Looks like I just need to get her back together and on the rollers!
