Difference of R and SE cylinder

Is there a difference between R and SE cylinder? I might be able to buy an R cylinder and put it on my SE engine Smile

Search, and ye shall find.....

Basically the difference is in the height of the cylinders, by 0.2mm. You will need to use matching heads, unless you want to start messing around with squish and compression. There are plenty of threads that cover this topic.

Measure it before and after and you'll find they've removed some from the height anyway and more often than not they've took off more than 0.2mm Wink

You can get HRC gaskets in .4 and .6 (and the stock .5 one) to vary the squish. You've got to measure it really unless you know the barrels and heads are totally standard.
