Not in my experience. They do sound the business though!
Expect StephenRC45 to pipe up shortly. He's tried PWK38 and PWK39, and neither worked as well as the NSR's (F3) TA carbs!
I have a set for my MC16-F3, just because I can, and because it's going to be a show-piece more than anything else, but the MC18-F3 will retain the TA's.
One day we'll twist Racer38's arm to borrow his NF5 for a few runs with TA's. Results could be interesting! _________________ Andy.

Surely it would depend on the tune of the bike? If the bike can suck all it needs thought the standard carbs then my thoughts are they wont be any better....although they are a dam sight easier to re-jet than standard carbs.
The main problem I find with my PJ38s is the lack or any idle circuit. F3 carbs have to be the way to go but and harder and presumably more expensive to find.
I really cant see standard NSR carbs producing the same power as the Pjs on Toms bike, the F3 ones however may be a different matter.....what are the differences with the standard and F3 carbs?
The F3 carbs are designed to run without all the plumbing.
They are the same size etc as stock NSR carbs.
I'd like to bet the RS would make just as much power on NSR carbs. My NSR made more power and produced more over rev with NSR carbs compaired to both 38 and 39mm PWK's. It also makes more power than the RS (by a fair margin)
I do agree PJ/PWK's are better to set up. _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...
