I noticed a droplet of dark greeny fluid hangin from beneath the crankcase on the flywheel side. Removal of the flywheel revealed a trail of premix leading back to the crankseal... Obviously starting it up for ten minutes every couple of months for the last 2 years hasn't been enough to keep the seals happy. Now please excuse me, i think ive got something in my eye *runs off in tears*.

i wouldn`t worry too much as the seals will leak a little through. best bet is to clean it dry. and leave it. make sure you warm the bike propper before turning it off and see how you go. try to get it off choke as quick as poss and make sure your oil to fuel ratio is not to oily

will do mate, thanks for the advice, i'm gonna put together a leak down testing kit too to see how the various seals are performing. It was all brand new genuine Honda seals, crank etc when it was put back together a couple of years ago so i was thinking surely it can't be knackered already, my Dad's GT750 had been stored for longer before he bought it and its got a heavier crank and that was fine.

turns out the left/upper cylinder side of the crankcase was FULL of premix and the exhaust on that side was partially filled. The other exhaust had a small pool of fuel in it too.

This atleast means the crank seals are probably fine, its just taken about two weeks for enough fuel to seep through from the filled crankcase to form a droplet under the engine that i could see.

S'funny because i don't think i accidentally left the fuel tap on after i turned the engine off last time i ran it (a couple of weekends ago). But maybe i did, i can't remember. Anyroad, i was thinking of aquavacing the fuel out through the exhaust port but i might take the motor out altogether now and do a more thorough clean and dry mission.

I've already made up some plates and rubber blanks to seal the exhaust ports off for leak testing in future. I'll make the the rest of the leak testing kit whilst the engine is on the bench.
