I think there's something not quite right with my mc18;
The chain fouls the swingarm itself, i.e. a straight edge run along the bottom of the chain line from the front sprocket to the rear sprocket would rock on the swingarm itself, never mind the chain slider.
It's even worse with the f3 linkage plates as they raise the rear and thus put the swingarm pivot further into the chain line. Run like this it wears out a chain slider in about 45 minutes and then proceeds to wear into the swingarm.
The only thing I can think of is Steve did mention that the frame is r2j, however the swingarm is from an r5k.
Is the r2j swingarm straight? The r5k one has an upwards kink in it about 8cm from the swingarm pivot itself, if that wasn't there the chain would clear the swngarm.
Anyone got any other thoughts? _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
I'd have to have a look at all my swingers but my chain clears my arm even with the F3 shock linkage and the F3 shock with added ride hight. _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...
