Valves dont cycle when the ignition is turned on!
Kinda.
If the engine was at tickover when it was turned off, the valves probably won't move. If it was at higher revs though, the valves may have come to rest in the open position, in which case they will drive to closed when you switch it on.
You can manually set the valves to hi with the ignition switched off, then turn it on and see if they drive. (Don't forget the kill switch)
If the motor sounds strained, turn the bike off and find out why - the quickest way to destroy your ignition unit is the power valve motor drawing too much current when the valves are siezed up - wither with carbon, or because the cables are dry / too tight / shagged. _________________ MC21SP Plaything
