How can you tell if this is a real HRC PGM and not stock Honda PGM ? What does it do over stock. I know this was talked about in the past but couldn't find the thread.
Well, I'd love to be proven wrong, but in my MC21 HRC manual, there is no mention of an alternative PGM.
The only 30xxx HRC number is 30490-NKD-840, which is the ignition delimiter. A PGM should have the number something along the lines of 30400-NKD-831... if it really exists.
Full F3 spec' MC21's actually used an RS250 PGM-II, but Honda backed bikes... who really knows! There are many stories of PGM's with interchangeable chips but no-one I know has ever actually seen one with their own eyes!!
Unless the seller can prove it's an HRC item, I would have to say treat it as a standard unit. This isn't to say that if it goes for reasonable money, that it isn't worth buying, far from it! PGM's are commanding upwards of $300.
