Sensor Gap

Tue Sep 22, 2009 5:15 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

I removed the sensors(not unplugged, just nicely cleaned), one was nice n filthy . Could have sworn there was a 1.5-1.8mm ish gap between them and the flywheel rises

Reinstalled to find only .7mm gap now, like wtf. Im sure id like minimum 1 mm atleast.. Any issues here i should be weary of?

Funny thing is, the sensors seem to be seated in 1 and 1 only position...

The mounting plates are shouldered on the stock pickups, so they can only fit where they fit!

Just measured mine at 0.75 & 0.80mm. The only thing to worry about is if the flywheel touches the pickup. If you have a gap and they're not touching, you're good to go. Keep the pickups clean and free of those little filings that magnets like so much.

Why would you measure them? You can't alter them.

They are what they are, they're fixed like that.
