I just got a 1994 NSR PGM IV.
The previous owner claim it was a SP which does have all the SP usual suspect like: Magtek wheels, adjustable front and rear shocks, dry clutch... No HRC card though.
So is there a way that I can find out if it is an SP through a production model number?
You can't identify if the bike left the factory an SP, an SE or and R model by it's frame number. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
I'm surprise that youcan't identlify by serial number as I aware there is only 1500 SP each year 94-96. I'm sure the factory have some sort of data base that identifly and keep track on the SPs. Like the ducati's, but obvesiously ducs is much smaller company.
I'm sure they do, but they didn't relese details and the bikes were just taken from normal production.
Added to that as the '28 was selling very slowly towards the end of it's production, there was nothing but SE's made after about 1995 anyway and the SP's had sold out there is more than a slight chance that SP's got "made" from SE's and sold as SPs by dealers. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
