MC21 Crankcase

Quick question to those knowledgable people out there. I have two crank cases and after checking them over i find they have different oil paths for the clutch cover side main bearing. Why and was it a mod to put the extra hole in or to leave it out?

I have attached a couple of pictures but still struggle to download them.

The late model mc21`s have a oil galerey from the oil pump to the bearings

This was then carried over to the MC28 cases.

Are the extra oil passage ways only beneficial if the 2T pump is still fitted then?

In other words, are the extra holes pointless if the engine is being run on premix with the pump blanked off?
