Are MC16 Fairings really so hard to find?

Cuz if so, my brother can make new ones from fibreglass / carbon fibre.

All he'll need is a mould, which means he'll need a set off someone to take the mould from.

He's a boatbuilder by trade, and does this kinda thing all the time. He made my race bodywork, and the NC / NSR seat unit for my racebike too.

i could only find one place that will do pattern bodywork for the mc16. and i asked everyone. Sad

i like the sound of carbon fibre. would it have to be painted or is the finish good enough to leave unpainted?
if there is enough interest i could provide original panels and a race tail.
ask your brother for a rough cost, it may help out some mc16 owners.
i'm off to tell the wife what i want for christmas. a carbon clad mc16! nice Very Happy

the tail piece is ok but missing a few lugs Crying or Very sad

postage might be a bitch but there is a guy here in nwe zealand who does replica fairings for the mc16 , mc18 and mc 21 try him at www.justfairings.co.nz , who knows with the exchange rate it may work out to sodd all
