My standard RS exhausts are mild steel (same as NSR but unpainted).
They have been vapor blasted to remove all the corrosion, crud and burned on oil and now look great. But they need to be treated somehow to prevent oxidation / rust forming.
Can anybody suggest a suitable plating or 'dipping' process for mild steel, which retains (as close as possible) the original flat metal appearance & colour of the steel.
Cheers. _________________ Rich

Does anybody know how these lacquers hold up to the repeated expansion and shrinking of the exhausts? I have been looking for a similar product, for clearcoating my frame. Conventional clear coats, flake just because of that I have been told.
Many thanks Dunkenb!
I've just ordered some VHT Clear, will let you know how it works out. _________________ Rich
