power jet

Wed Mar 17, 2010 6:29 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi guys - hope this question is not to stupid but how does one remove the power jet? There is no place that i can see to put a srew driver on it.

I wanted to check the size of it, it says 55 on the outside but this seems very small by comparison. I was wondering if i removed it whether there is a different number on the inside maybe?

I don't think you are looking at the power jet!

In the top right of the chamber is a small alloy screw, beneath this is the power jet (PJ). Both HRC and JHA recommend the plugging of this jet, preferring to rely on one variable, the MJ, for full throttle fuel metering.

Please read Carburetion.

Hi Andy

Thanks, boy do i feel stupid, I was confusing the the air jet with the power jet.
Not sure what I would do without the wisdom of this forum...
So my PJ are not 55's after all. Thanks again

Crusty there is no need to feel bad... Everybody started from somewhere... The right thing to do is to ask just like you do... All the guys here are very helpful... Also you can use the "search engine"... I think there is no question that hasn't being answered...
