i have compression readings of about 110 psi on both cylinders.

the bike drives fine but i dont think it has the same power it used to have.

do you think it is safe to keep riding with this amount of compression or should i get new piston rings???

Never hurts to sling a new set of rings in! I usually go through 2 or 3 sets of rings to a set of pistons, to give you a rough idea. (Usually 2 sets.)

It's always nice to change the rings.

If you remove the exhausts and have a look up the port you might be able to see some blow by past the rings. If you do then the rings would be worthwhile changing.

Especially when you only have one ring per piston, eh Steve... and even more so when it's only 0.4mm thick?! Laughing

Don't last long, do they?! Very Happy

Changed those in the F3 yet, since Llandow?!

I'll be changing mine tomorrow. No they don't last long and mine ran almost all day so they will be well worn out.

I've just re-ringed my bike and measured 1000kPa (145psi) on each cylinder (at sea level). I think you should get a new set of rings. It will only make you smile Very Happy
