hello everybody new member here! i am from the us and it is hard to get parts for my nsr250, it is a 92 se and i am having carb problems my bike is now over flowing gas into the crank case i think it is the little ruber nubs on the float neddle that have gone bad is there somthing in the us like a cross reference that i can get to replace the this? or is there a carb rebuiled kit. it has dog fight pipes on it and some kind of max box it is running on one cylinder right now off and on i have had it for 13 years and it is my joy in life _________________ ask me how i got mine
Hi,
You could try checking the float levels; clean the float bowls; get a cotton tip (cotton bud, whatever you call them over there) with a small amount to cutting compound like some toothpaste or autosol and very lightly clean & polish the needle seat; and try to get into the practice of shutting the fuel tap. New float needles and fuel taps can be ordered if necessary. Some of the US guys might like to recommend a local supplier for you, or check Tyga's website. Hope this helps.
You may have some luck taking the part number from this site to your local Honda dealer.
If you check out the page for the carb, you'll see that item three is:
float seat:
3 16011-KM9-711 Valve set Float
And 6 the float itself:
7 16014-KM4-004 Top set
You can try putting them into the parts finder on http://www.lings.com/ too. _________________ MC21SP Plaything
