MC28 HRC Manual (English)

Wed May 05, 2010 12:12 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hey,

I have an HRC MC28 manual and parts book in English. Is there already one available on the forum? Just thought Id ask - it came with a bike I just bought - if its not already available let me know. I have an MC21 but some of the stuff is the same.

Is the Manual in English? if so, that is the manual that I spent a ood amount of time translating into english (they never were made available in English, only Japanese) and have available for sale (see the NSR-WORLD.com marketplace, as well as the posts in this forum at the top), as well as sections available to supporting members online.

The English parts manual is available here as well. You can get to it from the "parts manual" link at the left of the screen.

Yes this manual is in English - reasonably good translation - occasional slipup of the work 'repair' when they mean 'modify' and that sort of thing but its in full colour and very high quality.

It is not the MC28 Service Manual like what you have for sale in the Marketplace section - it is the HRC manual, outlining all the HRC parts and which mods to make and how to fit and setup the HRC parts. Also has the complete HRC parts list for the MC28 in the rear.

Is anyone interested in this - how common are they?

Probably the manual racer38 had translated a number of years ago that was ripped off by all and sundry as it was a PDF and consequently easily distributed!

It's the very reason why the English Workshop Manuals are only available as a hard copy.

If it's this one;

I believe Tom (Racer38) paid to have it translated long long ago.

It turns up now and the and is (in my opinion) quite bad form to pass it round.

Besides it contains little of any use Wink

All very interesting - I can confirm that this particular hard copy is almost 10 years old so it sounds like it predates the Racer38 one. Either way if they are common as muck I will keep this one for myself then Smile

Its interesting you (fontyyy) saying it contains little of any use - I think it has a lot of very useful info that most forum readers would do well to read - Mr HRC did know what he was talking about in my opinion Wink

Tom's being going at it longer than 10 years Wink

The '28 HRC manual is a bit lame though and as Fontyyy says abit of a waste of time if you're into tuning NSR's.

LOL...... glad all those late nights were worth it!

As for copying it about. I'm not that bothered. It's been downloadable on Jamies website for a year or so. All water under the bridge as far as I can see.

The way I see it if you've got a bottomless pit of money and want max BHP from an NSR you'll not have anything from an mc28 on your bike because none of it is best.
And if you haven't got a bottomless pit of money and you want max BHP from an NSR you won't have anything from an mc28 on your bike because all of it is expensive.
ROTFLMAO

The sole thing the HRC mc28 manual is useful for is if you (for some reason) want to tune an mc28 to some restricted level of production based tune, I don't think the manual itself contains anything that's not available on this site and of course Tom's translation of it is 4 clicks away from this very page.

lol The effort should be rewarded Tom, just a shame you didn't pick one of the other manuals all those years ago!
