Just wondering if there is a definite difference between R5k and R6k frame numbers (or frames).
The NSR-World specs page seems to show frame numbers matching the models.
For example, it seems to imply that
The R2J and R4J frame numbers are MC18-100xxxx
The R5k and 5k-II frame numbers are MC18-110xxxx
The R6k frame numbers are MC18-120xxxx
I have recently come across what appears to be a legit R6k bike with frame number MC18-110xxxx, and so am wondering how reliable this numbering system is. This particular bike has the Magtek rims, the dry clutch engine and the SP shocks front and rear.
OK, maybe someone has replaced the frame on this particular R6k, but it would seem unlikely. Also, is there any actual difference between a frame marked 110xxxx and one marked 120xxxx?
Also, (and I aplogise) I haven't bothered to search the forum too much on this one as it is seems difficult narrow down with keywords, but what is the difference between an R5k and an R5k-II? _________________ [color=#808080][size=9]Yes,.. I too know how to waste Time and Money,...
However, this has massive overlap between models and doesn't even mention MC18-120xxxx numbers at all. So where does the MC18-120xxxx designation come from? Anybody? _________________ [color=#808080][size=9]Yes,.. I too know how to waste Time and Money,...
