Differences between '88 mc18 and mc21 harness?

Curently my mc21 runs with a problematic pgm unit,meaning that my rc valves are dead open all the time..I hate that..

Thing is that its kinda hard to find a full working pgm iii unit around here so i'm thinking to replace my 21 harness with one from a mc18 '88 model that i have and it is just gathering dust on my basement..
I'm talking about a full blown replacement,everything from the pgm to spark plugs Very Happy

Can anyone tell me the pros and the cons of this mod since i dont have personal exp?
