I`ve had some rearsets and fairing mounts made up for my race bikes.
The bloke I had make them can make some more if anyone else would be interested in these?
Price is £150 for the rearsets. They will have countersunk bolts instead of the hex head ones shown. They will come with the gear change shaft clamp in aluminium. The footrest position is 20mm higher than standard, no rearward movement.
The fairing mounts are £15 each complete. Individually £10 for the base and £5 for the tube. To fit them the frame will have to be drilled and two riv-nut fixings fitted. The mounts will then bolt on. They will require the HRC nylon top hat fairing fixing also. I`m not sure if he`s going to make these yet. I`m seeing him today so will find out then.
I`ll get some fitted pic`s of footrests and fairing mounts as soon as I can.
If anyone is interested can you post on here. I`ll let him know of the potential interest, and we can go from there.
Sorry if this is in the wrong place Andy, I didn`t put it in classifieds as just checking out interest first.
Cheers, Roy.

Should've added that I`ve only tried these on an MC21. Not sure if they`ll fit a 28. I`ll have to try and get an MC28 owner to try a set.
Also, both rose joints have a right hand thread. So lever position will need to be set before finally clamping on the gear change shaft lever.
'21 and '28 rearsets are all but idential, the only difference is the rear brake master cylinder is slightly differently spaced, look at this Tyga one to see the "problem".
Don't ask which way the hole has to be enlarged, I don't know. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
Well even though no-one seems to be interested, I've had these bits modified.
The rearsets now have a spacer plate to move the peg back 20mm. The plate can also be flipped over to raise or lower the peg by 15mm.
The master cylinder mount has also been modified to accomodate the MC21, MC28 and RS master cylinders.
I've had the fairing mounts modified for the lower rear mounting points too. I didn't want to drill through the weld at the bottom of the main frame spar to fit the riv-nut fixing.
The fairing mounts will come with the nylon top hats and countersunk washers and bolts now also.
Once I've fitted these parts and am happy with them I'll send some down to Andy to evaluate. If he's happy with them they'll be available to buy from the forum market place.
Here's some pic's,
Cheers.

I definitely want the fairing mounts, I've been asking around for this kind for years, they were available for the RS some years ago.
Could you consider an optional alu plate, that would allow you to use the original mounting holes instead of drilling the frame, which I accidentially think is illegal in this country ?
The mounts would be riveted to the alu plate that would bend under the frame to be fixed in the original holes.
Can the rearsets be switched to racing shift ?
Do you plan to have them drilled or machined a bit, just for better looks ? _________________ Poul

The parts are race-orientated, so I doubt there will be much more done to the design as function is more important than form, but the prices will also hopefully reflect this. Making them a little more aesthetically pleasing may be possible by milling them like some other rearsets on the market, but it would have to be an optional extra I think, and consequently push the price up. I will certainly consider it though, if it is requested enough.
I need to take a look at all the parts first though, and that will give me a better idea as to whether anything may benefit from a little more work. Roy will be able to answer on the shift pattern, but again, as they've been designed with function over form in mind, then I will expect them to be capable of that configuration. _________________ Andy.

Sorry it's taken me a while to answer. I've been having trouble with loading pic's onto photobucket.
Yes they can be changed to the race shift pattern. This is achieved by fitting the gear-change shaft clamp with the pivot pointing downwards. They'll come with a little extension piece for the linkage rod. This is used for the race set up.
Here's a picture below.
Andy, I think small changes to the rearset design can be accomodated, this can be done on an individual basis too.
As you have already said, the price will alter to suit. Depends on what people want changing really.
I've sent you some rearsets and fairing mounts to assess. Probably going to arrive on Monday.
I'll probably call you after you've got them to discuss options, etc.
Received the samples Roy, and have a few ideas which could simplify manufactuer. Watching the F1 now, but I'll drop you a line later. _________________ Andy.
