MC28 Oil Seal Question

prelude2.2 » Thu Aug 10, 2017 10:25 pm

So I ordered the Oil seal for the bike (the one on the shaft between the trans and 2t pump). when I got the seal i measured it, it seems the idiot ordered a 3/8 by 5/8 imperial seal which is 9.525 by 15.875. the original seal is 9.5 by 16 by 4mm. so this seal is too small on the outer diameter. I rang loads of places and the only size I could get is 9 by 16 by 4mm. So both are on my kitchen table right now. I was going to put in the 9x16x4 one tomorrow. Does anyone see any problems with this or am i being paranoid? I only want the best for my baby Laughing Also the shaft seems a little worn so a smaller inner diameter seal should be a good fit. thanks for any help guys. also I want to send off my cards to get my HRC card programmed.
