I have a real problem with these, personally. Maybe just over-cautious, but I hate the thought of putting a drive of any kind on to the end of the crank.
Yes, I must admit, I have the same thoughts about those starters, plus you have to drill a big hole in the fairing!
The bike is a pig to start from cold (no chokes on the magnesium carbs), although I do need to practice my my starting technique.
