I've only done the removal bit so far...
No real problems to be honest. Disconnect everything you can see that goes to the frame. I removed the front sprocket so I could get the chain off. I took the radiator and oil tanks off to make it easier, though I daresay you could do it with them in situ.
I also took the airbox and carbs off - the less weight the better really.
Once all the ancilliaries are off, just loosen all the bolts holding the motor in the frame, and support it on a jack or block then remove them all. Easy job really.
