Parts for the early models are becoming scarce, but the likes of Apex moto and TYGA mean the NSR will be viable for a few years yet.
Reliability is generally better than most two strokes, as it's a Honda, and also was built to be perfect, not down to a price.
Stuff does go wrong though, with the reg/rect being as likely as any Honda. Fit an aftermarket one if yours fails - they last longer!
Power valves servo motors can burn out, though I think this is more due to coked up valves not being cleaned. The knock on effect can be to burn out part of the PGM unit, though this can be fixed in most cases.
Not much else really. If you do a trawl of the board, you won't see many 'it's died on me' threads that aren't resolved by undoing the last tuning option the owner botched!
