Yep, I plan on removing the M-Max that's on the bike now and install this after I do the splicing. That way the uncut harness will remain uncut, and the bike will be completely derestricted instead of only halfway. Then I'll do the same thing to the M-Max box and either keep it for a spare or sell it to somebody that wants to do the same thing. Although I agree that it's funny to think that someone would ever want a restricted bike, I too hate even consider cutting and soldering on a 20 year old bike as rare as any NSR is, let alone the few SP's that are still stock. No reason to do those mods when the derestrictor boxes are so cheap and easy to install. I think I gave Dan $5 for this one if I remember correctly, and it was certainly worth $5 to me to preserve the original harness.
