If you seize it within a week or two it's unlikely to be because of your choice of oil! I bet many have been run on cheap and cheerful mineral oil from the local Caltex (or whatever they have in Japan) without incident for years!

We just have to give them all the help we can, remembering that even the youngest MC28 is now 15 years old and many will naver have seen a second set of rings, let alone a set of new pistons!
