how worn a clutch plate can you handle? I have one you can grab, if you ask nicely you can even grab one with nie discolouration from the previous numpty that overheated it

I am not sure of the clutch/crank line up mark that you talk about. The inner and outer baskets do have to line up, there is a dowel pin that slots into a slot.

If this is your track/race bike, why run a kickstarter when you are going to great lengths like running premix? The pawl is the kick start spring? Don't forget that too.
