I am unsure if there would be any difference between MC18 and MC28?
Hopefully you can get the required dimensions off the pictures.
The two pictures show minimum and maximum positions.

<edit> I just held this steering damper roughly in place on the bike and looked at how it might restrict the steering.
It seems that this particular steering damper which has a stroke of 75mm WILL NOT accommodate full steering movement (lock to lock) on my MC18.
I would guess that for full lock steering, a stroke of at least 100mm would be required. But that is just a guess.
This is the best I can do. Sorry, but an exact answer to your question is yet to come. </edit>
