Hello Chris, and welcome to NSR-WORLD.

Your two best bets for MC28SP forks are:

  1. Place an advert in our Classifieds section.
  2. Search Yahoo! Auctions in Japan.

They won't be cheap!

As for Chinese bodywork, by all accounts it is considerably better than it once was, but nothing beats original Honda bodywork. In my opinion, you [still] get what you pay for.

Some forum member have/are using recent Chinese bodywork. I am sure they will share their experiences.

My Plastics were trashed....I bought a Rothmans set from Auctmart on Ebay. Took about 6 weeks for delivery...Blue color is definately not the same blue Honda used, the front fender Rothmans sticker is off center....It fit 95%...had to tweak & pull pieces into place.
There are other options out there....Good luck

I believe this is same vendor i purchased from. The fit was good, you will need to provide your own fastener. I actually bought two uppers, one with light cutout and one without for track. In Texas you actually don't need the light for daytime so I leave the track one on all the time. Paint job and decals look good, but not perfect....i think perfect only comes with a factory set.

Some issues.
1. Since I track my bike, I often mess with the jetting which means taking the seat off. You have to be very careful, I have already cracked mine on both sides where it snaps into tank.
2. The guy forgot to put the black "HONDA" decal above the light cutout on the street upper. He did make good on it by mailing me two extras.
3. He also forgot the "S" in Rothmans on one of the lowers. He also made good on this, but sent an "S" that is slightly bigger. I didn't put it on, instead I live with it.
4. I have Tyga pipes, so had to cut the lower on right side to clear the pipe and fabricate some brackets to spread it apart. This was no problem. I also put on a heat shield on both sides. It appears there is a hot spot in the lower area that isn't near pipe. This caused the ABS so soften and pull in. I repaired, touched up with paint and added more shielding which seems to have worked.

Overall would i buy from this guy again. Yes for street use. For track i should have bought a Tyga fiberglass set and painted it. I might still do that someday.

Thank you very much!
For sure Honda factory bodykit, the best but 2500-3000€...
Difficult to be confident with Chinese product. There are 2 differents qualities : compression or injection. Normally injection is better!!! I will see...

Thanks

For my MC16 I'm going to go with the Tyga fibreglass, although I did buy an RS250 seat unit from St Neots in Cambridge (they might ship to France). As Andy says you get what you pay for. The plastic bodywork that came off the bike was pretty rubbish so I binned it.
