Honda NSR250 MC28 and RVF400 NC35 query.....

Wed Apr 20, 2016 2:49 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

I`m currently smartening up a RVF400 NC35 RT model and I`m considering putting on a pair of Magtek wheels (MC28 SP type wheels) just to make it a bit different.
Has any one on here done the same or simply know if they will fit straight on without modification.
Any help will be much appreciated..............Thanks.

Hi There
Yes they are a straight swap,I have sold a few std 28 wheels for vfr,s to fit a 17 in tyre,The only problem is sourcing a pair of 28 Magteks,
They command a Kings ransom these days,
All the best,

Hi John.
Nice to hear from you again.
So.........Just to make sure about the front wheel, it goes straight in using the standard RVF wheel spacers ?
Cheers.

The front will be a 3" though compared to a 3.5" originally on the nc35

Hi Yakama.
The tyre on the front at the moment on the standard RVF wheel is 120/60/17 (3.50)
whereas if I fit the Magtek it will be 110/70/17 (3.00)
I`m just wonderring if it will be OK to do that as regards handling, what`s your opinion ?
Thanks for your time, Paul.

I know people on the greybike forum have run a 3" before so I don't think you will have a problem with it
