MC21 fuel tap - which way is reserve?

Mon Jun 20, 2016 2:00 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

I have scoured Google to no avail! My fuel tap (standard Honda part, I believe) has a little arrow on one side of the plastic tap. If I turn it fully clockwise then the arrow is pointing upward - if I turn it the opposite way then the arrow ends up at the bottom. If horizontal is off, which way is reserve?

Thanks!

Hi Ian, looking at the tap, mine is, horizontal = off, clockwise = reserve, anti clockwise = on, my tap doesn't have an arrow on it, it has on- off and res, which lines up with a little arrow on the bottom edge of the fuel tank, if your tank has been re painted you probably haven't got the little arrow and fuel decal.

Ok thanks a lot Les - it was on reserve then, so I'll set it to 'on'. I ran out of fuel on Saturday!! I might also zip-tie a 100ml bottle of oil somewhere for emergencies, given it's premix.
