Hi guys
Have just stripped my second mc16 and would love to know some tricks of the trade for frame cleaning etc.
Does anyone know the colour codes for the front forks and brake calipers?
Could be a long restoration, we'll see how winter is in the garage.
I mot'd my number one bike early in the year and have had quite a few runs out so far.

Never done an mc16 myself but I normally use wheel acid to clean the dirt and grime from the cast sections of the frame, take care though you can stain the anodising if you leave it to long.
I am a bit ocd at times😃
The frames got a few scratches etc, do you think scotch brute pads and wd40 would help sort it Paul?
Most of the bikes components are in really good condition for a bike that is nigh on 29 years old. _________________ stink wheels forever.
Worth a try, you certainly wont cause any damage with scotch brite. I have used wet and dry to locally blend areas of scratched/damaged anodising before, just try it on a hidden area first.
