Kit axle nut torque setting

Sat Jan 21, 2017 4:24 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hello,
Would any one know what the torque setting would be for the large nut (on the wheel side) on a kit axle?
Honda RS250 NX5 with what I think is a Tachyon copy of the HRC kit axle for RC30/45.
Steel axle with alloy, left hand thread nut.
Thank you.

From the official HRC NSR500V manual: 280Nm (28kg-mf, 202ft-lb)

Fyi the NX5 manual says 118Nm for the rear wheel nut, and 235 for the rear axle nut.

With the "small" (standard) wheel nut?

I presume the standard nuts, as no other numbers are given. I just didn't want to see someone strip threads!
