mc21 backfires

How you all going? I was wondering if any one could help me? I was riding my bike the other day and it was perfect, then went home and put it away. Next day came and I went to start it, and now it backfires out of the left exhaust and turns off. I have checked the leads and changed the spark plugs, done a compression test and its still the same. I was wondering if any body could help me? Thanks.

1st do you cut the fuel over night.
can be fuel leeking into the piston.
Check the Carb for grit. clean it out. then leave the fuel off over night and see if that helps.

...wracking brain...

Have you checked the exhaust is correctly fitted and sealed? Distant memory suggests that if air is being sucked in the exhaust will pop and bang. Might be the 2 stroke fumes hallucinations mind...

I wouldn't know as I've never suffered that, but you can check for failure by doing a leakdown test.
