NF5 cranks.

Just wondering if the innovative boys at GT performance have come up with an answer for the problem of NF5 cranks yet, rebuilding old ones or whatever.

I don't think Stephen visits the forum much. Best to use Facebook Messenger to GT Performance Engineering

Hi Paul, just spoke to Stephen and he's not rebuilding RS250 cranks any more, so I'm not sure what us NF5 owners are gonna do soon, I certainly don't want mine to be an ornament, i'm quite lucky to have a spare motor on the bench, but not so lucky to have two spare cranks that can't be rebuilt, looks like doorstops then.

The StNeots guys were next on my list of people to speak to. They are just up the road from me so been meaning to pop in and have a chat, they are advertising nx5 rebuilds but I know they have restored nf5's before so they might have some solutions.

I have a spare nf5 crank that I want to get disassembled so can have a measure up. They are very similar to the mc18 r2j crank and I know bearings and seals are available for those so hopefully some interchangeability.

Les is there a guy on the NATS forum who has rebuilt cranks?

Paul, cant find anybody on the NATS forum who has rebuilt NF5 ones, but check out http://rgracing.fr. they are making NX5 & NXA cranks, and are working on ND5 ones, I think they would be prepared to look at NF5 ones if there was enough interest. The NX5 & NXA cranks they have done, and tested certainly look the biz.

That's not bad Rob, I was offered a nos one a while back for £2,200 smackers and turned it down, perhaps I should have invested in it. !!!!!.

Drop Andy at St. Neots Motorcycles a line. I am sure he'll sort you out with NF5 crank rebuilds.
