Hi all,
My MC21 has an issue whereby it will continue running with the side-stand down and also in gear. Obviously it should cut the ignition here. The side stand indicator light
comes on and off as normal. Also, I've checked the continuity of the G/W wire all the way back to the PGM and this is doing what it should (grounding with the side stand up). So, compared to the manual, everything is testing as it should. It has had the wire splice. Also, it is fitted with a small HRC 'not for highway use' box which is wired in just near the PGM. Not sure if this is messing with the cut-off, but there is continuity all the way through this to the PGM.
I must be missing something here. Could it be an issue with the PGM itself maybe? I have the bike booked in for a roadworthy certificate later this week and this will be an automatic fail.
Any help appreciated as always.
Cheers, Simon.
Looks like this query stumped everyone, but I have found the fix. I removed the HRC delimiter from the loom, re soldered everything, and now the cut-off works as it should. Must be one of the quirks of having the HRC delimited in the loom.
