MC21 Speedo Overlay KM to MPH

Thu May 09, 2019 7:56 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi Everyone just joined as I have purchased a JDM MC21 NSR250 SP, had a quick search but came up with no answers, is there a speedometer overlay to convert KM to MPH ? or is there a MPH speedo from another Honda that can be used ? Thanks

You can just cover the k on the gauge face if you really don't want to see km/h, so it reads m/h! Seriously, if your MOT tester fails it, you need a new tester! Laughing I've done this with all my import cars too.

Mine just has some (very small and discrete) orange numbers on the gauge screen which I'm sure probably aren't even legal (and the gauge face still shows km/h), and no tester has ever failed it. It's never bothered me that the odometer increases at the km/h rate as I don't ever intend to sell it, so it's of no consequence to anyone else! Smile

I think the mechanical adaptor (and masking the km/h) is probably the neatest solution, but each to their own.

Thanks I'm going to go with the mechanical convertor and open the speedo up and change the kmph to Mph might even change the KMS to read the correct mileage after photographing it. I also restore mechanical wall clocks so used to fiddly things LOL
