I have just removed my crankshaft and find that the drive side and timing side main bearings are shot. I know that NSR cranks are not rebuildable but surely it is possible to remove and replace the outer bearings? Centre bearing and big ends are OK.
addvert for crank bearings on home page , don't use aftermarket bearings , I had a very expensive bodywork repair bill after a crank with aftermarket bearings flew apart at speed
I ordered 2 new bearings from supplier listed in classified, The arrived today ,only 5 days from Austrlia. They are identical to the originals and I am very pleased with them and the service I received. This is a big saving on a new crank from Honda.
hi, is this bike of yours an MC16? in that case, would you be so kind to inform me the part number and manufacturer of the bearings you bought? i'm from argentina, buying a new crank here is more than impossible or nearly equal to the price i've paid my MC16. i've assembled the engine with generic C3 bearings but a few minutes running were enough to kill the clutch side bearing. i've got the bearings machined to reach the required size, of course (one millimeter per side was enough). thanks in advance.
