I've left the NSR Facebook page. I didn't agree with Phil Mellor's negative comments on GT Performance. I would rather be part of a forum that positively supports a community with growing challenges to keep our bikes going. ive seen him give out about peoples bikes too on that page in the comments of a picture someone put up. multiple times. And i agree with you Rob that businesses are not charities. im sure they run a tight margin.
I had to fight to get some of the prices down to where they are/were.
As an example, when the MC28 cranks first became available to us again, it was me who insisted we only sold them at the official Honda price (which was £425+VAT at the time) because it was morally wrong to mark them up. I felt bad for TYGA, who just a year earlier had bought what they believed to be (and possibly were, at the time) the very last cranks Honda had in existence, which they needed to sell for well over $1000. While we seemed to be the only people able to get them for some reason, you could still price-check the part number on sites like Lings and Fowlers, and would've been crucified on every available platform by the small-minded freeloaders. Even now GTPE are still selling at official Honda prices, with no additional markup.
Needless to say, regardless of my efforts, they still slag Performance Engineering and NSR-WORLD off on an almost daily basis... while plaigerising both! I'm glad they are starting to be seen for what they truly are. If I'm still alive and kicking in 20 years, I'll be interested to see how many of them are still supporting the community!

Facebook is a pain really, it takes people away from the forums and does not serve the purpose as well as a forum as a thread quickly disappears off the bottom of the page and gets forgotten about so is useless for referencing anything or running a detailed thread on an on going rebuild.
As for the other matter I agree with Robs comments, I don't understand the need for the constant sniping at NSR World and GT Performance and in my opinion just serves to undermine the reputation of the person making the comments rather than the persons they are being aimed at. What makes these sort of comments particularly laughable is that he is happy to plagiarise the content of this forum while at the same time slagging it off
Anyway its good to see NSR World picking up again, maybe people have had enough of facebook after all
Thank you guys for continuing to support NSR-WORLD. Despite going quiet for a while, I'm still passionate for both the brand, and supporting the community.
As I mentioned in another thread, I'm rewriting the main site, and also working on a new Online Parts Manual (with hopefully more accurate part numbers and diagrams... some are currently a bit wrong, but it was all compiled from bad scans and assorted resources some 17-18 years ago!).
