MC 21 air filter

Sat Apr 18, 2020 7:37 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Looking for an air filter for my MC 21. What are people using? I have seen some filter material but don't want to go away from the stock settings chasing jetting etc (read scared of seizing it haha) I have my old one still that was in when I bought it but is quite dirty. Ta

There is a genuine new one on eBay at the moment or you can buy the ram air sheet and cut it to shape.

If it's in OK condition (i.e. not dried out and disintegrating) you can simply clean it. Just wash it out with a little fuel/2T mix, wring it out, and let it air for a short while to allow the fuel mix to mostly evaporate. You don't need much 2T in the solvent (fuel), just enough to leave a little residue suspended in the foam, which helps trap dust particles.
