MC28 Speedometer

Sat May 23, 2020 1:44 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

So it is almost time to put the bike back together. I was just wondering has anyone ever ran a speedometer with a HRC card. I will setting the bike up to run the HRC P-030 Card and as you guys know this removes the speedo. So I was thinking about getting an aftermarket speedo. can anyone recommend one? thanks.

I’ve used the Koso speedos on a few bike builds and they have been very reliable and straightforward to set up.

Many years ago I ran a bicycle speedo. After a while I knew what revs in which gear were what speed.

M Max ,the old Japanese after market parts company, used to sell a speedo to use with their M Max mc28 card. I had one, along with their card fitted to an old bike of mine. It was about an inch high and 3” wide and stuck on just above the clocks. Worked a treat and also did 0-60 times Shocked

M Max were a company that produced aftermarket goodies for NSR's, most well known was the M Max deristricter box, most people of a certain age would have had one of these pass through their hands at some time, if I remember it was no more than an expensive wire splice.

That's exactly what it was, Les! We broke one open years ago, and the GPS part was literally an in/out loop! Cheaky buggers! Laughing

The M-max card was just an HRC card with an M-max badge.

Yep that’s the company I used last time but model is KOSO DB-01RN as it was for a scrambler and it’s a smaller neater unit. They are all similar though
