Hi everybody, great to see so much activity on the forum. I was looking to buy an MC28 project bike. I do not need fairings, tank, exhausts or a PGM. does anybody have anything for sale. would anyone know the rough price on this? preferably a rolling frame with the engine out.

A couple of years ago I thought the same I couldn’t find a 28 frame in the UK so I got one from Japan with nova sorted, that’s when the misery started, couldn’t find a decent rear end with linkage so back to Japan £500 later and then the 17 rear wheel I found one black se wheel perfect condition with rear brake assy another £500
Then the cheapest part the loom and pgm 4 that is when I bailed out and fitted HRC loom with pgm 111, that was 2 years ago and bits have marched on in value since then,
The problem is 10 years ago the Japanese just wanted to sell but now they want them back and who breaks a 28 up when altogether they command a kings Ransome

Talking to a well-known MC-twenty-eight-ite yesterday, and he estimates his build to be "worth" somewhere between £7k and £8k when breaking down all the parts he (a) has already, and (b) needs, at current market prices.

Sadly I think the ship has sailed on affordable project bikes, all bike spares/ parts (not just Nsr stuff) have gone back to silly breaker prices in the days before eBay.
I see knackered old tat going for crazy money all the time.

Maybe somebody will have something here. Keep am eye out if anybody see's anything. Thanks
