We've recently had a couple of AI bots "post" on the forum. Generally they post on an older topic, and the user names follow the similar convention... JuniEdith and TyraNoah
I freely admit I have no idea how they work, or what the point is, but if you notice a strange "newbie" reply to a post that doesn't really make sense (post count of 1, and thanking posters for the information seems to be a favourite), please do not reply to the thread, let me or a moderator know, and we'll block the account.
The posts are in pretty good English, but are always a little out of context. I don't know if replying to the bot would trigger more posts, or help the AI algorithm, which in turn could end up helping them spam more forums (not just this one), so if we can do even just a little bit to help fight it, it may help. _________________ Andy.
