Mc21 airbox plate element 17212KV3830

Tue Apr 19, 2022 4:27 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi, does the air filter support, or plate element, have any mesh on it or is it just a framework? My airbox doesn't have one and I've just caught the carbs trying to eat my air filter. I can make a supporting frame but can't find a picture of one. If anyone has one spare that would be great.
Thanks

It's just a plastic grid to support the foam element. No gauze.

Image shamelessly stolen from Yahoo! Auctions.

Good find RobH, Is it as complicated as it looks? I had a quick read of the user guide. Think I'll have to have another read or two.

Thanks again RobH, i won the item on jauce and the item arrived today. It wasn't too much of an ordeal although the price of postage is quite high for something so small and light. I got the item for £21 and the postage was £40. I have read the postage has gone up recently , partly due to jauce now using DHL instead of EMS and partly due to some trouble maker in Russia.
I'm happy with the price as i needed the part but i dont think I'd use jauce very often, only as a last resort.

Glad you got sorted. Hopefully you only have to buy it once Smile
