Hi Iam wanting a new speedo for my 1985 Ns400R it’s a U.K. spec bike but my speedo as now started reading erratically would prefer a mph one but would consider a Km one or do any members know where I could get mine repaired.

I remember trying to repair my speedo for a NC23 CBR400 I had and it was a nightmare. no matter what I done it never read properly again. Although im sure I was the problem. Iirc those NS400 clocks had similar internals to many other honda clocks. Is the NS125 speedo the same? I know the bezel and layout is different but the internals may be the same, im not 100% sure.

Or perhaps the plastic gear inside is worn out and needs to be replaced. did you open it up?

I cant confirm this but apparently the 500 Interceptor and VF500F have the same unit. I found this information on another forum for you

"Axle and wheel size will be the determining factor. Look for something with the same sized wheels. The drive is geared for the wheel size."
