hi all remember ME.
im thinking of getting rid of my 89 m18 .
ive just aquired a 95 rgv with 2674 miles on the clock.
do the rgv's perform as well as the nsr's?.
does any 1 have any ideas about this?
does any 1 wana buy my nsr?
email me if u want any pics
longtrain5@hotmail.com.
my nsr has a just been rebored new piston, rings, bearings, big end, small end.it will also need a new ignition if it is sold before i can get it fixed.
taxed and moted.
I'm sure a '95 RGV with so few miles on will perform a LOT better than the old MC18!
There's a lot more bits out there for the RGV, so spares will be easier to come by, by then you've lost exclusivity. Depends which bike you like the look of too I guess... _________________ MC21SP Plaything

well i really like the way the nsr's look and feel ive never riddin a rgv before so this is why i was asking.
this rgv isnt a pretty thing...YET.lol.
i can appreciate the fact that parts are easier to get as i spend all this week trying to find new powervalve cables...i found some from apexliesure on the web.
When did you last overhaul the suspension? What tyres you running? Is it setup for your weight? Is the headstock correctly torqued? Is the back end properly greased? _________________ MC21SP Plaything

knee down is the answer, then i tend to wake up in a puddle.. lmao.
it is vast improvement on the y2k RS 164 i had. i had real trouble trying to keep stable round the corners on the rs but the nsr WOW o WOW .
my friend has a 20002 bandit 600 & i blow him out the water.
its just this parts issue that gets me...
what shall i do?as im due to pick this rgv up on thursday .
keep the NSR really, i know 2 other people who have owned NSRs an 18 and a 21 both regret selling them, one went to a gixxer 6 (no surprise there) the other to a RGV.....
suptoyou, i know what i wouls do but then again i already own 2.... _________________ MC21SP - Roth-tax

I agree, keep them if you have them. I have a RGV VJ22A, VJ22 SP, MC 28 SP, and a RG500 and I really don't think one is better than the other. Like women, they're all unique
I had a go on the RGV VJ22 before buying the 21, Problem was that day i went out on it i saw 2 others!!!!! MMMMM I had no time to give it some or get use to it but it felt nice, more zing at the top end, where as my 21 seems to pull lower down which i like for corners, it came down to this......I HAVE NOT YET SEEN ANOTHER 21 on the road at all nor a 18 or a 28 so i know i have a little bit of history and something a little special....
The first NSR I saw was at Mallory Park in 1990. It was an MC21 racing in the proddy 250 class and got it's arse severely kicked by the KR's and the RGV's. It siezed if I recall and was never seen again.
Oh how we laughed at the so called race replica from Japland.
The next NSR I saw was at Bira International Circuit in Thailand, in 1993. I was to be riding an F3 RGV250 against F3 TZR's and a full HRC F3 NSR250. I spent most of the time at the circuit ogling this F3 NSR. Pure WOW! Ridden by multi Thailand Champ, Asian Champ and 5 times Macau winner Christmas Vilairoj.
I broke two RGV engines during practice then tossed the thing into the tyres while in third after about 4 laps. The F3 NSR cruised to victory, most of the time spent on one wheel. After that day I vowed to get an NSR250, take on the world and dominate.
I have never even contemplated racing an RGV since that day, and have only ridden the RGV to test pipes, even though we've had a couple, including a very fast F3.
GREAT post matt!!!!!!!! Ive had a good think on keeping this nsr & im going to get both ,ill have to realy sort the MISSES out if im gonna be able to keep both of them any 1 got a copy of the CARMASUTRA that i can loan lol.
Just buy her a new kitchen... _________________ MC21SP Plaything
